The Oscars 2011 time: Broadcast Details and Red Carpet

The Oscars 2011 time is quickly approaching. Many people are trying to get their plans for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards in place before the stars hit the red carpet tomorrow night at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.

There are a couple of choices for red carpet coverage. Chris Harrington’s red carpet coverage for the Oscars 2011 will begin at 7 p.m. EST on the TV Guide channel. Also E! is covering the stars as they arrive at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards. Their Live From the Red Carpet show will begin at 6 p.m. as well with hosts Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana Rancic. It will actually be tough to decide which show to tune in to since they both promise to be great.

The awards show will begin at 8 p.m. EST on ABC. You can also tune in to the Oscars and the red carpet live with People.com.

With the first ever male/female co-host tea in James Franco and Anne Hathaway, the Oscar’s 2011 should prove to be an incredibly entertaining show. There is even a rumor that their opening bit was written by Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais.

Will you be tuning in tomorrow night during the Oscars 2011 time to catch what all your favorite stars are wearing and winning? If so, you be a part of Hollywood’s biggest night.

Kirk Hinrich Traded at Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks tonight acquired guard Kirk Hinrich and center/forward Hilton Armstrong from the Washington Wizards in exchange for Mike Bibby, Maurice Evans, Jordan Crawford and a draft pick, according to Hawks Executive Vice President/General Manager Rick Sund. Hinrich was averaging 11.1 ppg, 4.4 apg (tied for 29th in the NBA), 2.7 rpg and 1.3 spg in 30.6 mpg (.452 FG%, .384 3FG%, .876 FT%) with the Wizards, appearing in 48 contests (29 starting assignments).

More trade buzz this time via Yahoo Sports Adrian Wojnarowski and Marc Spears. According to the report, you can add Kirk Hinrich, Raymond Felton, and Andre Miller to the list of point guards that the Hawks have inquired about. Also per Yahoo, Atlanta has been shopping Mike Bibby and Marvin Williams. As you well know there are a ton of rumors out there but I am not completely convinced that they are shopping Bibby as hard as the article makes it sound. Sure they would be willing to move him but it could leave them thin at the point guard position and remember coach Drew has shown no desire to play Jeff Teague regular minutes.

Dave Duerson Died at 50

Dave Duerson, a four-time Pro Bowl safety who played on Super Bowl winners with the Chicago Bears and New York Giants, has died. He was 50. The Bears released a statement Friday saying they were "stunned and saddened" by the news and called Duerson "a great contributor to our team and the Chicago community". Miami-Dade Police Detective Robert Williams says the body of a Dave Duerson was found Thursday in Sunny Isles Beach, Fla. Computer records show that the Duerson who lived at the address was born the same month and year as the player.

Who can forget the 1985 team mauling opponents while shuffling all the way to the championship with Hall of Famers such as Mike Singletary, Dan Hampton and Richard Dent up front? With Todd Bell sitting out the entire season, Duerson played a big role in the backfield with five interceptions that year and made the first of four straight Pro Bowls.
